What Is Subhadra Yojana?
Subhadra Yojana is a financial assistance initiative by the Odisha Government under the Women and Child Development Department, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 17, 2024. It provides a total benefit of ₹50,000 per eligible woman, disbursed as ₹10,000 annually in two equal installments of ₹5,000 each, to foster economic independence and social upliftment. The scheme also incentivizes digital transactions by awarding ₹500 to the top 100 beneficiaries in each constituency who record the highest digital activity.
Eligibility
- Age: Between 21 and 60 years as per Aadhaar date of birth.
- Residency: Must be a permanent resident of Odisha.
- Financial Status: Belong to economically weaker sections (family income limits and no NFSA card).
- Ineligibility: Government employees, income-tax payers, women already receiving over ₹1,500/month under other schemes, and those outside the specified income/asset criteria.
How Much Money Do You Get?
Each beneficiary receives ₹50,000 over a five-year period, broken down into:
- ₹5,000 on Raksha Bandhan (Shravani Purnima)
- ₹5,000 on International Women’s Day
This annual ₹10,000 instalment continues for five consecutive years (2024–25 through 2028–29).

- Register/Login: Use Aadhaar and mobile number to complete e-KYC.
- Fill Application Form: Enter personal, demographic, and bank details.
- Upload Documents: Submit Aadhaar, address proof, and income certificates.
- Submit & Track: Note the application reference number for future status checks.
How to Check Application Status
- Navigate to Status Page: On the Subhadra portal homepage, click “Check Application Status.”
- Enter Details: Provide your Aadhaar number and application reference number.
- View Status: The system displays real-time updates—“Under Process,” “Sanctioned,” or “Rejected”.
- SMS Alerts: Beneficiaries also receive notifications on registered mobile numbers upon each installment disbursement.
